Piri-Piri Rôtisserie Portugaise has taken possession and will open in the food court at Promenades Drummondville in Drummondville in July. The chain is also taking possession of food court locations in the Montreal Eaton Centre in downtown Montreal in early June and in Carrefour Laval in Laval in August. Piri-Piri is also preparing to open a unique full menu location in early June in the Intermarche Logoria supermarket on Boul Langelier in the St Leonard area in northeast Montreal. Piri-Piri Rôtisserie Portugaisei is a 14-year-old chain of restaurants featuring an authentic Portuguese-style grilled chicken menu along with traditional dishes, served quickly in a casual atmosphere. The chain of over 15-locations throughout Greater Montreal emphasizes fresh, flavorful rotisserie and charcoal-grilled meats, custom sauces, and a menu ranging from classic chicken cuts to sandwiches and signature ‘Piri Bols’. Dan Knafo at Dan Knafo Real Estate Services is handling the site selection for the chain and notes that expansion is largely dependent on franchisees. Currently a search is underway in the Ottawa area for highly visible locations in high traffic street and plaza locations in the 1200 to 1800 square foot range. The chain is particularly interested in former restaurant locations with hood and ventilation. In addition, the brand is also seeking food court opportunities in enclosed projects in the Greater Montreal area. The Montreal-based chain continues to seek individuals, entrepreneurs and multi-unit operators in several regions in Quebec and Ontario.
