Reaches 30 with a Dozen to Go……….

Earlier in July, Kiokii and……, the four-year-old chain of Asian skincare and beauty products, opened its 30th location. The 2474 square foot store, with its wide selection of curated clinic-level global brands mainly from Japan, Korea and China, officially open on July 4th on the upper level at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, the suburban community north of Toronto. In addition, the growing corporately owned chain is confirmed to open a dozen more stores before the end of 2026, including a unit in Place Ste Foy in Quebec City later in July. It will be followed by opening in Bramalea City Centre in Brampton and Devonshire Mall in Windsor in August, Rideau Centre in Ottawa in September, Stone Road Mall in Guelph and Orchard Park in Kelowna in B.C. in October. In November, the chain opens in Coquitlam Centre in Coquitlam and Mayfair Shopping Centre in Victoria, both in B.C. and in Galeries de la Capitale in Quebec City and Bayshore Shopping Centre in Ottawa followed in December by openings in the Yonge Eglinton Centre in Toronto and Pen Centre in St Catharines. With plans for ten to 15 additional stores in 2027, Kiokii and…… is looking at Canada’s Maritime markets and the company is evaluating select secondary and smaller markets where it recognizes an opportunity to establish the brand.  Elaine Heng at Urban Reform Realty Inc. is handling the site selection for the brand. Presently the is 3000 to 3500 square foot units in the super regional malls and 2000 to 2500 square feet in the smaller markets. With its plans for select secondary markets, open centres are being considered. The chain has also ventured into the U.S. market, opening a 5400 square foot flagship location at the large American Dream project in East Rutherford in New Jersey earlier this year.
