After a four-year absence, Arby’s is returning to Winnipeg. The quick service chain of sandwich restaurants has signed to open a 2000 square foot end cap with drive-thru at Forster Harvard Development’s SEASONS mixed-use regional shopping centre at Kenaston Blvd. and Sterling Lyon Pkwy in southwest Winnipeg. The Arby’s restaurant will be a shared pad at the south side of the centre at an entrance off Sterling Lyon Pkwy. The unit is expected to open in the Fall.
Dan Woychuk, Vice President, Leasing at Forster Harvard Development Corp notes that a search continues for full-service restaurants, non QSR uses as well as service-oriented uses for the SEASONS project, a 117-acre mixed use regional shopping centre anchored by Outlet Collection Winnipeg and shadow anchored by IKEA. The project provides strong exposure to traffic on Kenaston Blvd./Route 90 and Sterling Lyon Pkwy and is a popular shopping and dining destination. There are almost 1,000 multifamily residential units onsite and 1,000 more within immediate walking distance. Seasons is seeking retailers expanding in western Canada for the prominent Winnipeg location.
