Later this week, Cozey, the Montreal-based home living and furniture brand, opens a new permanent retail store in downtown Montreal, marking a meaningful homecoming for the company. Founded in 2020, Cozey originally designed its furniture with Montreal living in mind, addressing challenges such as narrow staircases, limited space, and the need for flexible, functional furnishings. Located on St Catherine St West and Peel St, the 3,700 square foot showroom will offer Cozey’s full collection, including living room and bedroom furniture and mattresses. The store also showcases recent innovations, including the Cassini Sofa, the company’s first modular curved sofa, along with the Orian Sofa-Bed and Atmosphere Sleeper Sofa. “It feels good to bring Cozey home,” said Founder, CEO Frederic Aubé. “The very first Cozey sofa was designed to combat the realities of Montreal living: tight staircases, compact spaces, and ultimately, what we saw was a need for furniture that works harder for modern homes and customers. To be back on the ground, permanently, where it all began, and to have the opportunity to connect with and learn more from our customers here is incredibly meaningful for us. We have a week’s worth of celebrations planned to make the most of the homecoming that it is.” The Montreal opening comes during a period of significant growth for Cozey. The company has expanded its physical retail presence to six locations across North America, including three permanent stores, while also extending its international reach through an e-commerce launch in Australia. Cozey plans to open a flagship store on Fifth Ave. in New York in early 2027 and continues to introduce new furniture categories and designs.
