La Diperie is a dessert concept specializing in indulgent, customizable treats built around its signature dipped ice cream bars. Established in 2014 in Montreal’s Plateau area, the brand has grown rapidly through franchising, with locations across Canada and a growing international footprint. La Diperie’s core offering features vanilla soft-serve bars that are hand-dipped in a wide selection of Belgian chocolates and finished with an array of toppings ranging from nuts and cookies to candies and sauces. Part of the MTY Food Group since late 2016, La Diperie presently numbers over 80 locations across North America and Nancy Chamberlain, MTY Group’s Senior Director of Real Estate, the chain is presently seeking sites in Ontario and particularly in the GTA. The locations are typically compact and designed for high foot traffic in urban streetscapes, shopping centres and tourist areas and the franchise concept sources highly visible 500 to 1200 square foot units.
