Sleep Country Canada has acquired substantially all of the assets of Sleep Number through a competitive, court-supervised sale process, marking a major expansion of its global presence. With more than 800 locations, Sleep Country’s family of brands now becomes the world’s second-largest sleep retailer. The acquisition combines Sleep Country’s retail expertise and customer-focused approach with Sleep Number’s advanced sleep technology, personalized sleep solutions and innovation. President and CEO Stewart Schaefer described the transaction as a ‘game-changing acquisition,’ highlighting Sleep Number’s strong brand, talented workforce and commitment to improving sleep quality. He said the company looks forward to welcoming the Sleep Number team and integrating the two organizations.
