Second of Ten………..

Last week, Montreal-based restaurant group Carma Hospitality opened its second Rosie’s Burgers at 1800 Notre Dame St West at Saint-Martin St., across from the Petite Bourgogne Sports Centre in the Griffintown neighbourhood in southwestern Montreal. The unit is the second of a ten-unit development agreement with Happy Belly Food Group for Rosie’s in Quebec. Rosie’s is a boutique quick-service restaurant brand known for its signature smash burgers, golden fries, poutine, onion rings, and classic milkshakes. The first restaurant in Quebec opened earlier in the Spring at 210 Saint-Viateur West in the heart of the Mile End neighbourhood in Montreal’s Plateau Mont Royal. A third location is a highly visible freestanding 1500 square foot location at Victoria Ave at Churchill Blvd. in the Greenfield Park area of Longueuil in Montreal’s South Shore area that is expected to open in the fourth quarter. Rosie’s Burgers is in the midst of an aggressive expansion phase with 19 locations presently open and over 110 secured under multi-unit and area development agreements across the country. The popular restaurants target highly visible locations in the 1000 to 2000 square foot range with convenient access. Sean Black, CEO of Happy Belly is handling the site selection in Quebec.
