The country’s largest casual family dining brand Boston Pizza is seeking a franchise partner for a site that it has identified in Shediac, a growing tourist destination in southeastern New Brunswick. The chain is seeking candidates with a passion for food service and a desire to own their own restaurant. Shediac is about 27 kilometres northeast of Moncton. The 40-year-old chain combines the sports bar atmosphere and big-screen televisions along with a family-friendly casual dining experience, all under one roof. Many of the more than 390 Boston Pizza restaurants in Canada also feature an outdoor patio where guests can sit back and enjoy. Known for its gourmet pizzas made with its signature hand pressed dough, the extensive menu is designed to satisfy every appetite along with the pasta dishes and a wide variety of salads, entrées and desserts. All this while the sports bar component is fun for families as well as for teams and groups of all ages. The restaurants are located in high profile sites near ‘traffic generators’ such as regional malls, power, entertainment and lifestyle centres and large offices projects. The typical Boston Pizza is in the 5000 to 6000 square foot range and has seating for 160 to 225 and provisions for a patio area. Franchise Development Manager Alex Schiavone at Boston Pizza International’s Mississauga offices added that franchise opportunities are available other Atlantic Canada markets.
