Targets Central ON & AB…….

In early July, MHRA Hospitality, parent company of Stacked Franchising Ltd., announced that it had acquired a major stake in Holy Chuck Burgers, a Toronto-based premium burger brand founded by Johnny Prassoulis in 2011. The partnership brings together Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House with Holy Chuck’s established burger concept. Under MHRA President Manish Mehra, the goal is to expand Holy Chuck’s presence while preserving its signature quality, bold flavors, and loyal following. The brands will continue to operate independently but share operational expertise will create efficiencies and new opportunities for franchisees. Holy Chuck, known for fresh, never-frozen beef and handcrafted smashburger menu items, has built a strong reputation in the Greater Toronto Area. Currently there are two Holy Chuck locations, in Toronto and in Woodbridge, and locations in Barrie and Orillia are opening shortly. Mahra notes that the Central Ontario and Alberta markets are the initial targets for the Holy Chuck expansion. The quick service locations will operate in high profile 1400 to 1800 square foot units and Colin Mortell at DBM Realty is responsible for the site selection.
