Last week, made-to-measure apparel concept INDOCHINO announced its largest standalone retail investment in years, with ten new U.S. showrooms scheduled to open in 2027. Six locations are confirmed for early 2027 in Cherry Hill in New Jersey, Columbus in Ohio, Ross Park in Pennsylvania, Brea in California, Roosevelt Field in New York and Boca Raton in Florida. Four additional locations are under negotiation and expected to open later in the year. The expansion follows six consecutive quarters of positive EBITDA and reflects the company’s confidence in its appointment-based, no-inventory retail model. The new small-format showrooms will provide customers with personalized styling, premium fabric selections and made-to-measure suits, shirts and outerwear. INDOCHINO explains that locations are being selected based on strong customer demand, with the new format viewed as long-term growth and profitability opportunity. Introduced in 2007 as an online made-to-measure men’s apparel concept, after operating several pop-up locations, the Vancouver-based INDOCHINO opened its first permanent store, a 4000 square foot location on Homer St in Vancouver’s Yaletown. Since then, the company expanded its collection to include a new women’s base pattern to streamline the measurement and fitting process for customers of all genders. And its physical retail expansion grew to include new showroom locations in Canada and the United States. Presently there are about 90 showrooms, including over 25 in Nordstrom stores with many more planned. In the U.S., Brett Groper, Andrew Jaffe and Anthony Genovese at Bialow Real Estate are handling the site selection targeting 1500 to 2500 square foot urban street locations, lifestyle centers, regional malls, etc.
