The Local Gift Shop is an Ontario-based specialty gift retailer that showcases handcrafted products created by local artisans, makers and small businesses in a collaborative boutique environment. Founded in late 2025 by husband-and-wife team Lorenz and Rizzy Manaig to help independent entrepreneurs reach a broader customer base, the concept combines professionally merchandised retail space with centralized staffing, sales support and inventory management. Its flagship location, a 2009 square foot location at White Oaks Mall in London features more than 90 local vendors, with a second location scheduled to open in a 1077 square foot location at Fairview Park Mall in Kitchener later in August. The multi-vendor cooperative marketplace is pursuing expansion in high-traffic shopping centres across Ontario, creating destination retail environments that celebrate locally made products while supporting Canadian entrepreneurs and community-based businesses.
