During May, Mind Games, the Toronto-based chain of specialty stores opened two stores in British Columbia, its first openings this year. The stores opened in the Guildford Town Centre in Surrey and at the Woodgrove Shopping Centre in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. These are the fifth and sixth stores in B.C. and brings the total store count in Canada to 25. The chain also operates four stores in the U.S. Operating since 1992, Mind Games features a wide selection of toys and games for all ages, including board and card games, toys, books, puzzles, gifts and novelties from well-known brands such as DC Unlimited, Hasbro, Mattel, Lego, Radica and Spin Master. In addition to its chain of stores, the franchise company also operates a large eCommerce platform with global shipping. The typical site selections are in malls at around 2000 square feet.
