Fresh Burger is planning to open a 1200 square foot street front location at 1132 Queen St West, just west of Lisgar St in Toronto’s West Queen West area in mid-September and founder and CEO Jacques Kavafian adds that the chain is seeking more sites in the downtown area. “We are focusing on the Yonge St to Bathurst and Eglinton to Lakeshore quadrant for our next three locations,” he added. Introduced in 2013, Fresh Burger is a Canadian-owned quick service premium burger concept featuring a hamburger menu made with fresh 100 percent Certified Angus beef that is ground daily along with fresh, Belgian-style fries and poutine. With the Queen St West addition, the chain numbers ten locations across the GTA. A franchise concept, Fresh Burger continues to source franchise operators as well as highly visible, busy sites in the 2000 square foot range and conversion opportunities are also considered.
