
Another quick service concept that launched as a result of the Covid pandemic, Hotties Smashburgers was introduced on Barton St East in Hamilton’s Barton Village area about three years ago. Launched by Ted Paras and Nelson Yeung, the concept specializes in freshly prepared smash burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, loaded fries, indulgent shakes and soft ice cream. The brand has built a loyal following by combining premium ingredients, bold flavours and a vibrant, contemporary atmosphere with fast, friendly service and its hot pink colour scheme. Last week, Hotties opening its second location, bringing its signature smashburgers and hot pink image to a street front location at 13 Main St South in Newmarket. In addition, in late August, Hotties will open its third location, sharing the former Arruda Hardware building at 17 Barton St East in Hamilton, according the Hamilton Spectator newspaper. The unit will feature a large patio and outdoor seating. The building is shared with Ringside, the event venue.
