Then, late last week, Serruya Private Equity and Toronto-based Egg Club announced the formation of a partnership to accelerate the breakfast chain’s expansion across Canada, the United States and international markets, according to the Canadian Franchise Magazine. Introduced in Toronto in 2020, Egg Club is a quick service Japanese and Korean-inspired breakfast concept that based on our last report in late August, had ten Egg Club locations operating in Ontario and Alberta and several more in the works. Chris Wanzel at Urban Reform Realty is also handling the Egg Club site selection in the major Canadian markets. In addition to the food court format, the specialty concept will operate in 800 to 1500 square foot high traffic and highly visible locations that provide a daytime population and strong pedestrian traffic.
