Food Court in the Fall…………

Eva’s Original Chimneys is preparing to open its relocation to the food court at Square One in Mississauga.  The chain’s location at the mall’s Entrance 4 has been closed since last month.  Introduced in 2015 by Justin and Kristin Butler as a mobile food truck, Eva’s Original is a specialty food concept that features chimney cakes and chimney cones, also known as donut cones.  An Eastern European specialty, chimney cakes are bread-like pastries baked in a cylindrical shape. The cakes and cones are coated with organic cane sugar and cinnamon, filled with real-cream soft serve and then offer a range of toppings such as local berry compote, organic cocoa drizzle and even a homemade salted caramel brownie. The menu also includes a vegan soft serve with select toppings and fillings that are also vegan.  At Eva’s Original, the cakes and cones are made from scratch each day using premium ingredients and baked on a traditional-style open gas rotisserie grill.  Presently the franchise concept operates three permanent locations in the greater Toronto area and a unit that operates during the CNE in Toronto each year.  In addition, there are two mobile units in St John’s in Newfoundland and Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Depending on the location and the market, the Eva’s Original Chimneys franchise will operate in 400 to 1000 square foot locations that have strong visibility and convenient access.
