James Jenkins, Real Estate Manager with Averine Partners, a Division of Omnigence Asset Management, who is handling the development of the Nutters Everyday Naturals chain of healthy food centres, reports that the chain has confirmed a location at the Ranch Market Plaza in Strathmore in southern Alberta. Nutters takes possession of the 2400 square foot unit in early August for a mid-October opening. In addition, discussions are underway for locations in Spruce Grove and St Albert. Introduced in 1982, Nutters Everyday Naturals is a long-established natural health and wellness retailers, offering a wide selection of vitamins, minerals, supplements, natural foods, sports nutrition products, organic groceries, and eco-friendly personal care items. The Medicine Hat, Alberta-based company has grown through both corporate and franchised units and currently operates over 25 locations across Western Canada. Jenkins adds that the chain continues to seek opportunities for expansion in communities where demand for natural health products and wellness solutions is increasing. “We are working on opportunities in the GTA, which would be the first location in Ontario, and on a site in Fort Saskatchewan in Alberta,” Jenkins added. Nutter’s targets units in the 2000 square foot range in busy centres that are anchored by grocery or dollar stores.
