Last week, Brown Restaurant Group opened its sixth Liberty Kitchen premium casual-style restaurant in Courtenay, on the east coast of Vancouver Island. The 3959 square foot end cap unit in the Crown Isle Plaza, fronting onto Lereick and Ryan roads, features a blend of soft wood tones, vintage-inspired brass accents, and rustic tile textures. Introduced in South Surrey in 2018, Liberty Kitchen features a globally inspired menu with a focus on Mediterranean cuisines and warm climate culinary traditions. Using authentic and wholesome ingredients in an open kitchen, fresh house-made pasta and hand-crafted pizzas are the core of food offerings. Brown Restaurant Group is a Vancouver based restaurant franchisor and concept incubator with over 80 franchised locations in operation, most operating under the Browns Socialhouse, Browns Crafthouse and Liberty Kitchen brands. This latest Liberty Kitchen is the tenth franchisee in the Browns group for franchisees Scott and Brad Rumpel. The Liberty Kitchen restaurants are generally located in end cap and freestanding units with patios in the 4000 square foot range.
