A&W Food Services of Canada has launched a major expansion of Pret A Manger in Canada through a series of new airport locations. Beginning this month, the brand will launch its first airport location in the international terminal at Vancouver International Airport, with additional airport openings planned throughout the second half of the year. In total, four new Pret airport locations are expected to open across Canada in 2026. The expansion reflects rising demand from travelers seeking fresh, high-quality, and convenient food options. Pret’s Canadian operations are led by Managing Director Paul Hughes who is overseeing the brand’s growth strategy across airport, transit, and urban markets. Hughes noted that airports are an ideal fit for Pret’s freshly prepared food and organic coffee offerings. A&W Food Services holds the exclusive Canadian rights to operate the Pret A Manger brand and in January 2026, opened Pret’s second Canadian shop in Toronto’s financial district. Looking ahead, Pret plans to continue expanding into new cities and transportation hubs across Canada through partnerships with franchise operators. Oberfeld Snowcap is handling the search in Ontario for the 1500 to 2000 square foot street front Pret locations. Based in London in the U.K., Pret A Manger is a 42-year-old quick casual chain featuring sandwiches, salads and wraps, freshly handmade each day using quality ingredients and all coffees, teas and hot chocolates are organic. Currently Pret operates over 700 locations worldwide.
