Steamoji Inc. is an educational concept that trains five to 14-year-old entrepreneurs, inventors, makers and builders with skills in technological fields. The curriculum is designed to cover fabrication skills, physical computing, engineering and digital arts. The schools provide after-school programs and holiday camps. Introduced in 2019 and franchising since 2021, the Redmond, Washington-based concept presently operates two locations in Washington state, and over 20 in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. Earlier in the Summer, Steamoji opened its fourth location in Calgary, a 1400 square foot location at the Strathcona Square in southwest Calgary and presently, Alex Morrison at JR Mercantile Real Estate Advisors Inc. is working with a franchisee that is seeking a location for Calgary’s southeast quadrant. The operator is seeking units in the 1300 to 1700 square foot range with convenient access in high traffic retail centres.
