Introduced in Amsterdam in Netherlands in 2004, Wok to Walk is an international fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in freshly prepared Asian-inspired dishes cooked to order in an open kitchen. The concept has grown to more than 100 restaurants worldwide that combine speed, customization and the interactive cooking experience. Customers can select from signature dishes such as Pad Thai, Yakisoba, Donburi and Thai Basil Chicken, or create their own wok by choosing a base, protein, vegetables and sauce. Each meal is prepared on the spot by wok cooks. Wok to Walk emphasizes fresh ingredients, including locally sourced produce and noodles. The franchise chain currently includes locations across Europe, Asia and the Americas, with two locations in Quebec, Place Victoria in downtown Montreal and Place Rosemere in Rosemere, that opened in 2025. Plans now call for more locations in Quebec with the initial focus on the greater Montreal area along with Montreal’s North Shore and South Shore markets. Manon Larose at Urban Reform Immobilier has been retained to handle the site selection for the province. Wok to Walk is initially targeting high traffic food court locations along with high profile street front locations in the 1200 to 1700 square foot range.
